GET TO KNOW THE TEAM BEHIND THE TEAM

Jon Jennings, President & General Manager,

Jon Jennings is a partner in Maine Basketball, LLC and the President and General Manager of the Maine Red Claws. In 2010, he received the inaugural NBA Development League Executive of the Year Award in recognition of bringing the Red Claws to Maine and the franchise's success. He is also a managing partner of the Thompson's Point Development Company, a development group in the process of building a multi-use complex in Portland, Maine. The Forefront at Thompson's Point is expected to be the future home of the Red Claws.

Prior the Red Claws, Jennings worked in the United States Senate and held several senior positions in government in Washington, DC. Jennings worked at the U.S. Department of Justice where he served as the Acting Assistant Attorney General and Principal Deputy Attorney General for the Office of Legislative Affairs from April 1999 to June 2000. Prior to his position at the Justice Department, Jennings served as Senior Assistant to the Cabinet Secretary and Director of Policy Coordination at the White House from 1998-1999, and held a position as a White House Fellow in the Office of Cabinet Affairs from 1997-1998.

Before moving to Washington, DC, Jennings was an assistant coach and scouting coordinator for the Boston Celtics, coaching the likes of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, and Reggie Lewis. He worked for the team in several different capacities for over a decade including as scout/video coordinator for the 1986 World Champion Celtics. He also served as an assistant coach in the 1991 NBA All Star Game in Charlotte, NC. Jennings began his basketball career as a student assistant to Indiana University coach, Bob Knight and began his NBA career as a scout and video coordinator for the Indiana Pacers. Jennings attended Indiana University (Bloomington) and Harvard University receiving his master's in public administration. In 2001, he was named the Joseph Martin, Jr. Scholar at Stonehill College in Easton, MA where he taught courses on the American Presidency.

Jennings currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Mercy Hospital, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine, the Portland Business Advisory Council for the City of Portland and the Maine Sports Hall of Fame. He and his wife Amy have one daughter, Abigail.


Dajuan Eubanks, Vice President, Corporate Partnerships

Before joining Maine Basketball LLC in 2009 Dajuan worked in the experiential marketing industry for 13+ years with several leading agencies. During this time his role and responsibilities varied from project management to client services to business development and sales where he worked with clients such as the NBA, MLB, USTA, and McDonalds among others. Dajuan is a former player and Goodwill Ambassador of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters where he performed extensively around the world with the organization entertaining thousands of fans. He received his B.A. in Sports Management from Rice University where he also was a member of the men's basketball team. Dajuan and his family have lived in Portland since 2005.


Jana Spaulding, Vice President, Public & Community Relations

Jana Spaulding has more than 18 years’ experience in public and community relations in both professional sports and the private sector. She joined the Red Claws prior to the team’s inaugural season of 2009-10 from the Travis Roy Foundation, a Boston-based nonprofit that provides grants to spinal cord injury survivors and supports research, where she was a PR consultant for six years. Jana also has ten years’ experience as a PR professional in professional hockey at both the NHL and minor league levels. As a member of the New Jersey Devils staff, she was a part of the 2000 Devils Stanley Cup championship team, helping to coordinate more than 1,000 media members during the Finals. She holds a degree in journalism from Boston University and attended graduate school for sport administration at Minnesota State University. A Maine native, she lives in Cumberland. .


Seth Shuman, Senior Account Executive/Director of Game Operations

Seth grew up in West Roxbury, MA and attended the Brookline Public school system of which both his parents taught. After graduating, he joined City Year Boston where he completed over 1,700 hours of volunteer community service in the Boston public schools and neighboring communities. Seth spent the summer of '05 working as a Clubhouse Attendant for the Boston Red Sox and was a long time employee of the Boston Celtics where he worked as a Ball Boy and Locker-room Attendant from 1995-2008. Seth has a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics with an Entrepreneurship focus and a Law minor from Bentley University. He joined the Red Claws as an Account Executive in 2009 and was promoted to Senior Account Executive in 2010 and then Senior Accountant Executive/Director of Game Operations in 2011.


Sarah Cook, Director of Operations

Sarah grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts and spent every childhood summer in Maine. She graduated from University of Colorado, Boulder in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After graduation she moved to Chicago, Illinois and in 2006 began working as a Marketing Associate for Bloomingdales. In 2007 she started her career in luxury jewelry where she ran the office for Sidney Garber in Chicago. In 2012 she decided to return to the east coast to be closer to family and joined the Maine Red Claws as Director of Operations. Sarah lives in Portland and is excited to be back in a city so close to the ocean and mountains.


Craig Morency, Ticket Sales Manager

Craig is an Auburn, Maine native, and joined the Red Claws with five years’ experience of working in professional sports in the Kansas City, Missouri area. A graduate of the University of Maine, Craig got his start in the professional sports industry as an Account Executive with the Kansas City Royals in 2007. In 2009, Craig joined an expansion hockey team, the Missouri Mavericks, of the Central Hockey League, as the Director of Game Operations. Craig and his family relocated back to Maine in March of 2012, as Craig joined the Red Claws as Senior Account Executive. He was promoted to Ticket Sales Manager in April. Craig and his wife, Ashley, live in Freeport with their daughter, Maddilyn, and two dogs, Sophie and Rondo.


Dennis Carter, Account Executive

Dennis started his sports career working in the Inside Sales department with the Utah Jazz. After completing a year in Inside Sales, he moved to an Account Executive position with the AAA affiliate for the Los Angeles Angels, the Salt Lake Bees, a position he held for four years. Dennis has also worked in management for retail department stores Big 5 Sporting Goods and Kohl's. He studied Technical Sales and Service with a degree emphasis on Management at Weber State University. Dennis joined the Red Claws in 2011 and resides in Yarmouth with his wife Jenna and their daughters, Bailey and Shelby, and son Landon.


Adam Skibek, Account Executive

Adam joins the sales staff after completing a graduate internship with the Boston Celtics in Corporate Sales this past season. He recently completed his Masters Degree in Sport Management from Springfield College where he served as a Teaching Fellow from 2009-2011. Adam attended Keene State College in NH, earning his degree in Economics, and in 2007 he was hired by his alma mater as the Assistant Sport Information Director. Adam is a native of Beacon Falls, CT and currently resides in Scarborough.
