Sixers Ask Fans to Bring Teddy Bears on 2/25 to Benefit Children's Alliance
FORWARD MARREESE SPEIGHTS TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS IN POST-GAME SESSION
Philadelphia, Pa. – February 18, 2011 –The Philadelphia 76ers, in support of the Philadelphia Children's Alliance, are asking their fans to bring new teddy bears with tags attached to the game against the Detroit Pistons at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. for the team's annual Teddy Bear Drive.
All teddy bears collected will be donated to the Philadelphia Children's Alliance, which provides child sexual abuse victims a safe, kid-friendly place to tell their story, receive support services and begin the process of healing. Every day, the Children's Alliance works closely with all agencies involved to provide a coordinated response to allegations of child sexual abuse. Donors will receive a voucher for a post-game autograph session with Sixers forward and Teddy Bear Drive spokesperson Marreese Speights.
The Teddy Bear Drive is part of the Sixers' yearly Drive For Kids program, presented by Comcast SportsNet.
